Pushkar: City of Temples
Pushkar is one of the oldest cities in India. Pushkar town is located in the northeast region of the state of Rajasthan in India, which is approx 15 kms from Ajmer city. Pushkar is the only shrine in the world dedicated to Lord Brahma following the mythological lineage. Not only known for it's mythological stories, it has also managed to retain it's old charm so gracefully, making this city one of the most visited tourist destination in Rajasthan.
The best time to explore Pushkar is from October end till the onset of March. If you are travelling in the month of November, then you may experience the world’s largest camel fair, popularly known as "Pushkar Fair", where you shall witness some very exciting competitions and mindbogling performances.
